I am less certain about what it felt like while you were inside it. You were awake. You could see the room. You could not move. And something in the dark seemed to know that. From outside, there was very little to report. From where you were, there was nowhere to hide.
That difference brought me here. I follow the moments when sleep, sensation and waking stop agreeing: the fall that never happened, the sound nobody else heard, the morning that turns out to be another dream. I wanted to understand the fear. I did not expect to feel it beside you.
These are journeys through researched human experiences, told from inside the sensation. A shape in the dark may belong to perception. A terrifying fall may end in a bed that never moved. The fear can be real even when the room tells another story.
I will keep looking for the explanation. But I will not ask you to pretend the experience was small just because we found one. Stay with me until the room comes back. Then we can talk about what happened.
What drew us inNova explores sleep and perception through unsettling, science-grounded storytelling. The frightening imagery represents subjective experience, not proof of a supernatural presence.
