This policy explains how Observation Deck Studios handles information connected with Humans, Apparently and humansapprntly.com.

Information we collect

The website does not require an account. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your message and email address so we can reply. The contact form sends these details through FormSubmit to contact.humansapprntly@gmail.com. FormSubmit may retain submissions for 30 days. We do not store your message in the website database. Temporary, hashed rate-limit records help prevent spam and expire within two hours.

When an authorized administrator connects a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or TikTok account to the Observation Deck Studios publishing application, we receive the account or Page identifiers, granted permissions, authorization tokens, and content information needed to operate that connection. Depending on the permissions granted, this can include Page or account names, posts, media, captions, publishing status, and engagement information. We do not request a personal location for publishing.

How we use information

We use contact messages to reply to you. We use authorized connected-account data only to operate the requested content-publishing feature, maintain it, and resolve technical issues. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Publishing instructions and authorized content are sent to the selected platform (Meta for Facebook and Instagram, or TikTok) when an administrator directs or schedules a post to be published. We may use service providers needed to operate the website and publishing workflow. They may process information only as needed to provide those services.

Retention and security

We keep email correspondence and authorized publishing data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described above, unless a longer period is required by law. Access to publishing credentials and operational records is limited to authorized administration and the services used to operate the workflow. You can revoke a connection through the relevant platform's app or business-integration settings.

Request access or deletion

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of connected-account information held by Observation Deck Studios, email contact.humansapprntly@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" (or describe your other request). Identify the Facebook Page, Instagram account, or TikTok account concerned and your relationship to it. Do not send passwords or access tokens. We may ask for information needed to verify your authority before handling the request.

After verification, we will remove information we no longer need, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements, and explain any information that must be retained. Removing our stored data does not automatically delete posts already published on a social platform; those can be managed through that platform.

Videos and third-party links

Episode thumbnails load from YouTube. Opening a video loads the official YouTube player; playback starts only when you press play. YouTube may process device information and use cookies under its own policies. See Google’s privacy policy and FormSubmit’s privacy policy.

This website links to social platforms and may load services such as Google Fonts. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
